Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM)

 

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM) uses specialised tools to assess and treat restrictions in muscles, tendons, and connective tissue. The tools allow precise treatment of specific problem areas that may be difficult to target with hands alone. IASTM can help reduce pain, improve movement, and support tissue healing. Mild redness or tenderness afterwards is normal.

 

Is it better than hands-on treatment?

 

Not better — just more targeted in certain cases.

 

Will it bruise?

 

Bruising is uncommon and not required for benefit

 

Is it painful?

 

It can feel uncomfortable but should remain tolerable.
